Morgan Wallen: One Thing at a Time
Original Release: 2023 Big Loud/Republic/Mercury Records

Morgan Wallen's "One Thing at a Time"
Morgan Wallen's third album "One Thing at a Time" was released through a combination of Big Loud, Republic, and Mercury Records. It was also his second triple vinyl album release featuring 36 tracks. On the album, he expanded his collaborations with other artists, teaming up with the likes of Eric Church, Hardy, and Ernest. The single "Last Night" became his first Billboard Hot 100 number one, staying atop the charts for 16 weeks.
The album generally received mixed reviews from critics. Despite the lukewarm reception, it debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 albums chart. "One Thing at a Time" eventually became the first country album of all time to spend 19 weeks at number one, exceeding the success of his previous studio album "Dangerous: The Double Album." That earlier release was an immediate commercial success, becoming the only country album in the at-the-time 64-year history of the Billboard 200 to spend its first seven weeks atop the chart.
The Vinyl Verdict
Overall, the record sounds very good. The mastering by Joe Nino-Hernes at Sterling Sound is solid, as is the manufacturing considering it is a mass-produced release. The vinyl is relatively quiet and the soundstage is impressive—punchy, dynamic, and clear throughout.
If you're a Morgan Wallen fan, you already know the songs are great. For the record, the pressing is just as good and certainly worth the investment. 💰
